Security is top priority for 25th SEA Games

(KPL) The security is the top priority and urgent task to facilitate for the upcoming 25th SEA Games in this December, by deploying security forces in society to ensure the security.

A slogan titles ?Generosity, Amity, Healthy Lifestyle?, a competitive campaign countrywide to ensure the security that is the main task of the Ministry of Public Security which has been assigned as the Sub-Committee for Security Defence of the 25th SEA Games.

A meeting at the National Culture Hall, on 13 October was convened by the Supreme Commander of the People?s Security Defence Force, Lieutenant General Douangchay Phichit who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence.
Taking part in the event were Minister of Public Security, Mr Thongbanh Seng-akhom, authorities of the Sub-Committees for National Defence and Security, the ministries of National Defence and Public Security, with the aim to receive an order of the Supreme Commander of People?s Security Defence Force relating to the deployment of security forces for the SEA Games.

Mr Thongbanh who is also supervisor of the Security Sub-Committee for the SEA Games delivered an order on security works for the SEA Games to all sub-committees for security forces.

After receiving the order, Colonel Bounsou Nammachack, representing all security forces, pledged to implement order strictly by continuing to push forward nine action plans on the security during the SEA Games into practice, which was approved at the first half meeting of the Ministry of Public Security, held on 1 July.
The security forces would be deployed at all traditional festivals prior to the SEA Games to ensure the security along with the launch of a campaign to mobilise all social strata to contribute to the security forces.
