(KPL) Penchak Silat athletes of Laos out of 13 fighters sent for the Pre-Indoor Games in Vietnam on 25-29 September, won three silver and two bronze medals.
They were sent by the Lao National Penchak Silat Federation.
Three silver medalists were competed in dance style categories of man?s single 55kg, female?s single 50kg and mixed double male and female.
Two bronze medalists bagged medals from male single of 70kg and female single dance style.
Speaking of the result of the games on 29 September, the Secretary General of the Lao National Penchak Silat Federation, Mr Vansay Baophom, said that the Lao team won five medals. The team aimed to test and harvest skills and techniques from this event as well as to warm up athletes for the upcoming 25th SEA Games in Vientiane Capital in this December.
He said, ?Lao fighters has met with the host country (Vietnam) in the final round but the Vietnamese fighters performed better than our athletes as shown in the result of the games. Anyway, it is satisfactory?.
