(KPL) 14 Lao boxers, 8 males and 6 females, left Vientiane on 1 October for one month training in Chai Nat province of Thailand to prepare for the 25th SEA Games which is scheduled to be hosted by Laos from 9-18 December.
Mr. Pathana Fongsamoud, Coach for the National Boxer Team of Sok Say Boxing Club, disclosed that boxing was one of the target that the boxing federation expected to get four goal medals from the male team and two goal medals from the female team.He believed that this training in Thailand would help the Lao team to upgrade their capacity and techniques. Lao boxers then will participate in the 3rd Asian Indoor Games in Vietnam at the end of this month to prove their strength.
